According to the “Associate Degree and Undergraduate Education Regulations” of Samsun University, a faculty member or lecturer is appointed as a consultant for each student by the relevant department. Class Advisors;

• Course selection for Fall and Spring semesters
• Add/drop courses
• Preparation and control of the student’s weekly course schedule during course selection
• Course selection from the upper semester
• Selection of elective courses
• Course selection from the summer semester (if the student chooses a course from the summer semester)
• Exemption from courses (if applicable to the student)
• Information about the student’s department, program, department head
• It provides guidance on the knowledge of the make-up procedures for the exams he could not take due to officially accepted excuses.

In addition, the advisor also guides the student on university policy, rules, programs opened at the university, career opportunities.
